I've reached the point where little surprises me anymore. Local officials in Washington D.C. now have a law that would pay felons up to $9000 per year not to commit crimes. Of course this comes out of the taxpayer's pocket. Somehow this reminds me of the old criminal protection racket. A racket that forced store owners to pay criminals for protection. A refusal would result in the owners place of business being vandalized or destroyed. Now the leaders of some Progressive Bastions around the nation are offering criminals what amounts to a bribe not to commit crimes. I suspect most criminals will accept this offer. A offer they can make money on until the next time they get caught. Really what in the hell have they got to lose!
